Sarah Shahparast, MS, OTR/L is the Founder and Clinical Director of Sarah Julia OT, an award-winning multidisciplinary pediatric therapy practice providing Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy to children and families throughout northern New Jersey.

Recognized as one of NJ Family's Favorite Kids' Docs, Sarah founded the practice with a simple belief: children make the greatest progress when therapy is individualized, collaborative, and integrated into their everyday lives.

 

Sarah leads a team of experienced therapists who provide concierge therapy in children's homes, schools, and community settings.

​

Drawing on years of experience in leading New York City schools, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and private practice, Sarah has extensive experience supporting children with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, OCD, sensory processing differences, executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, developmental delays, and fine and gross motor challenges.

Because no two children are alike, our team works closely with parents, physicians, educators, and other specialists to develop coordinated treatment plans that address each child's unique strengths, challenges, and goals. We believe the best outcomes happen when everyone supporting a child is working together.​

When she's not working with children and families, Sarah enjoys hiking, exercising, painting, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
